PURE Digest 100g

This product can help with flatulence or bloating due to the correct ratio of fibres, gut bacteria and minerals. PUUR Digest is used for discomfort caused by eating foreign objects, reactions to certain nutrients or chronic abnormalities in bowel movement.

Dosage

Twice daily
Dog > 25 kg 2 scoops
Dog 10-25 kg 1½ scoops
Dog < 10 kg and cat 1 scoop

1 scoop contains approximately 3 grams.

If it is difficult to administer this product multiple times a day in practice, once a day or once every two days is sufficient. In that case, give the maximum daily dosage. Even then, this product can be used effectively, but the reaction may be slightly delayed.

When there is improvement, a maintenance dosage can be used. This is usually half of the stated dosage on the packaging. When dosing this product, carefully observe the animal's reaction. Initially, a higher dosage may be needed; this product can be safely given in a double dosage. Gradually reduce the dosage with improvement to the lowest possible dosage.

Administration

PUUR Digest can be given with food. Because this powder contains herbs, it is recommended to start with a small amount to allow the animal to get used to the taste. Moisten the powder so that it is not blown out of the feeding bowl. In the case of constipation, give it with sufficient water and ensure that there is always plenty of fresh drinking water available.

While many Psyllium-containing products contain whole seeds, PUUR Digest contains only the husk of these seeds, where the active ingredients (mucilage and soluble fibres) are concentrated.

Duration of treatment

In an acute situation, the duration of treatment is relatively short. This can vary from a few days to 3 weeks. If there is improvement, continue administering this product for a few more days. In cases of chronic discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks.

This product can be given continuously. It is advisable to include a stop week after every 6 to 8 weeks. This way, the 'stimulus' can be re-offered after the stop week. Resume treatment immediately if there is a reason to do so.

Every animal reacts differently to the mentioned dosage. The dosage must be fairly precise; carefully observe the animal's behaviour. If the result is insufficient, slowly increase the dosage. When the desired behaviour is achieved, a maintenance dosage can be sought, slowly reducing to approximately half of the indicated daily dosage.

Interaction and contraindication

Always use during pregnancy and lactation in consultation with the treating veterinarian.

STORAGE

Avoid direct sunlight and store this product dry at a temperature between 5-20 °C. Keep out of reach of children. The expiry date is stated on the label.
