You use PUUR Pseudopregnancy in female animals that show false signs of pregnancy several weeks after their heat cycle. These usually start a few weeks after the end of the heat cycle. What we often see in these bitches:

  • Variable eating habits, often refusing to eat;
  • Collecting all sorts of things (often in her basket);
  • Restless and sometimes even aggressive behavior;
  • Nesting urge, using e.g. clothes, towels, and blankets;
  • Defending the "nest";
  • Suddenly much more affectionate than before;
  • Down or even depressed

Physical changes can also occur, such as:

  • Swollen mammary glands;
  • The nipples may start to leak fluid;
  • A distended abdomen.

PUUR Pseudopregnancy helps the animal relax and promotes mental balance.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by a vet or therapist, 3 times daily:

Dog 10 – 15 drops
Cat 5 – 10 drops

Rabbit 3- 5 drops

1 ml = 20 drops

Shake well before use.

Start administering PUUR Schijnzwanger / Pseudopregnancy at the end of the heat cycle and continue using the product until the time when the false pregnancy would normally have subsided. In cases of very severe false pregnancy, it may be advisable to start using PUUR Schijnzwanger / Pseudopregnancy during the heat cycle. If PUUR Schijnzwanger / Pseudopregnancy is used when a bitch shows signs of false pregnancy, the remedy should take effect after about 3 days to a week. If no effect is noticeable, the dose should be increased to a maximum of double the dosage. For rabbits, PUUR Schijnzwanger / Pseudopregnancy is given when there are complaints.

If it is difficult in practice to administer this product multiple times a day, once a day is sufficient. In that case, give the maximum daily dose. This product can still be effectively used, but the reaction may take a little longer to appear.

Upon improvement, a maintenance dosage can be used. This is usually half of the dosage indicated on the packaging. When dosing this product, pay close attention to the animal's reaction. A higher dosage may be necessary at first; this product can be safely given in a double dosage. Gradually reduce the dosage upon improvement to the lowest possible dosage.

Some animals may experience a short-term worsening or react strongly at the start of treatment. In case of severe increase, halve the dosage or stop temporarily and then gradually resume.

Administration

Administer this product directly into the mouth with a plastic syringe, possibly diluted with a little water. Preferably not at the same time as a meal, as the product works better when absorbed by the clean oral mucous membrane. If the animal does not like this product, the drops can be given on a small treat. If the cat does not accept the drops, put the drops on a warm spoon and let the alcohol evaporate from the product. Then administer it diluted with some water or milk with a syringe directly into the mouth. The drops can also be applied to the top of the paw; check if the cat licks the drops off its paw.

Duration of treatment

In an acute situation, the duration of treatment is relatively short. This can vary from a few days to 3 weeks. If there is an improvement, continue administering this product for a few more days. For long-term discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks.

This product can be given continuously. It is advisable to include a stop week after every 6 to 8 weeks. This allows the 'stimulus' to be offered again after the stop week. Resume treatment immediately if there is a reason to do so.
