Dosage

1 – 2 times a day (gradually increase dosage)

Since mid-July 2020, the composition of PUUR Omega-3 has been improved and the name is now PUUR Omega-3 Extra.

Administration

Administer this product directly into the mouth or mix with food.

In an acute situation, the dosage may be increased on the advice of a veterinarian. When administering Omega-3 oil, loose stools may occur initially. If necessary, build up gradually.

Duration of treatment

Omega-3 fatty acids are incorporated into cell membranes. This is a process that takes several days to 2 weeks. The effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. After symptoms subside, a maintenance dose can be given. This is usually half of the dosage indicated on the packaging. When dosing PUUR Omega-3 extra, carefully observe the animal's reaction. A higher dosage may be necessary initially; this product can be safely given in a double dose. Gradually reduce the dosage when the symptoms lessen or disappear to the lowest possible dosage. This product can be given continuously for chronic conditions.

Interaction and contraindication

Always use during pregnancy and lactation in consultation with the treating veterinarian.
